Product Manager - Automations, Integrations & Micro-services
About the Role
We're seeking a Product Manager to serve as the brain behind Bondi's engine. You'll lead the development of our automation capabilities, integrations ecosystem, micro-services architecture, and enterprise data-flow management. Your mission: create a workflow-building experience that feels like magic to users while maintaining the reliability and robustness of banking-grade infrastructure. This role sits at the intersection of technical complexity and user delight.
Key Responsibilities
- Automation Platform Strategy: Define and execute the product roadmap for our automation engine, enabling users to build complex workflows with simple, intuitive interfaces
- Integration Ecosystem: Build a comprehensive integration strategy covering APIs, webhooks, third-party services, and data connectors that make Bondi work seamlessly with enterprise tools
- Micro-services Architecture: Design the product layer for our micro-services system, ensuring modularity, scalability, and maintainability while keeping complexity hidden from users
- Data Flow Management: Own the end-to-end data flow experience - ingestion, transformation, routing, and delivery across organizational systems
- User Experience: Balance powerful functionality with simplicity, making complex enterprise workflows feel effortless and intuitive
- Technical Product Specs: Write detailed product requirements that bridge user needs and technical implementation for engineering teams
- Reliability & Performance: Define SLAs, error handling, monitoring requirements, and failure recovery mechanisms that ensure production-grade stability
- API Design: Shape the design of internal and external APIs, webhooks, and integration patterns that developers love to use
- Market Research: Understand competitive landscape, identify integration opportunities, and stay ahead of enterprise automation trends
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Work closely with Engineering, Design, Sales, and Customer Success to deliver cohesive solutions
Requirements
Essential Qualifications
- 5+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years focused on technical products (APIs, integrations, automation platforms, or developer tools)
- Strong technical background - able to understand system architecture, API design, data models, and evaluate technical tradeoffs
- Experience building integration platforms or workflow automation tools (e.g., Zapier-like, workflow engines, ETL systems)
- Deep understanding of APIs, webhooks, OAuth, and common integration patterns
- Proven track record shipping complex B2B products that balance power and usability
- Data-driven approach with experience defining and tracking product metrics
- Excellent communication skills - able to translate technical complexity for non-technical stakeholders
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with engineering teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical degree (Computer Science, Engineering) or equivalent hands-on development experience
- Previous experience at a SaaS, developer tools, or infrastructure company
- Familiarity with micro-services architecture, event-driven systems, or distributed systems
- Understanding of enterprise security, compliance requirements (SOC2, GDPR, etc.)
- Experience with iPaaS (Integration Platform as a Service) products
- Background in designing for both end users and developers
- Startup experience, especially in growth-stage companies
What We're Looking For
- Systems Thinker: You understand how components interact within complex systems and can architect elegant solutions to messy problems
- Technical Depth: You can go deep with engineers on architecture decisions while maintaining product perspective
- User Empathy: You obsess over removing friction from user workflows and can anticipate needs before users articulate them
- Balance: You know when to ship fast and iterate vs. when to invest in robust foundations
- Detail-Oriented: You sweat the small stuff - error messages, edge cases, loading states - because details define the experience
- Collaborative: You build consensus across engineering, design, and business stakeholders while maintaining clear vision
- Pragmatic: You make smart tradeoffs between ideal solutions and shipping value quickly
- Curious: You constantly explore competitive products, new technologies, and emerging integration patterns
Key Challenges You'll Solve
- How do we make building complex multi-step automations feel simple and intuitive?
- What's the right balance between pre-built integrations and flexible, customizable connectors?
- How do we maintain system reliability when orchestrating workflows across dozens of third-party services?
- How do we design for both power users who want full control and casual users who want one-click solutions?
- How do we handle failure gracefully in distributed workflows without overwhelming users with technical details?
Success Metrics
- Integration coverage across top enterprise tools
- Automation builder adoption and workflow creation rates
- System reliability (uptime, error rates, workflow success rates)
- User satisfaction scores for automation experience
- Developer satisfaction for API/integration experience
- Time-to-value for new integration launches
Why Bondi?
This is a rare opportunity to build the core infrastructure that powers our entire product while directly shaping user experience. You'll work on problems that span from low-level technical architecture to high-level user workflows, with massive impact on both product capabilities and user delight. If you love making complex systems feel simple, this is your role.
